Yesterday the presentation of the Municipal Football School of Ondara took place, which this year is made up of 278 girls and boys divided into 16 teams: 1 cherub, 2 prebenjamins, 3 benjamins, 3 alevines, 3 infants, 1 female infant, 2 cadets and 1 juvenile. The coordinator of this school is Joan Mut, who was accompanied by the different coaches.
The presentation took place at the Vicent Zaragoza Sports Centre in Ondara, in the presence of a large number of people, including family and friends. A presentation that was held jointly with the Unión Deportiva Ondarense, a club that also presented its two teams for the 2024-2025 season. On the one hand, there is the women's team, which this year plays in Group 3 of the Primera Regional Valenta and is having a great season; and on the other, the Ondarense men's team, which this year competes in Group 12 of the Tercera Regional.
The presentation ceremony was attended by José Ramiro, Mayor of Ondara, and Jordi Ruiz, Councillor for Sports of the Ondara Town Council. Jordi Ruiz addressed the audience to highlight “the great atmosphere we have in the sports centre to witness this presentation, which also allows people to see, first-hand, the new grass on the football pitch and all the improvements that have been made to the sports centre in recent weeks”. Ruiz also stated that “it is an important day for sport in Ondara” and thanked the coordinator, Joan Mut, and Juanma Artigues, President of Ondarense, “for the work they are carrying out, as well as the different coaches of the Football School teams”. The Councillor for Sports concluded by asking “that it be a day of celebration for everyone, and that we can enjoy this day”.
After the presentation, the UE Ondarense Femenino played a match corresponding to the 10th round of the Primera Regional Valenta. The victory went to the Ondarenses, who won 5-1 against El Campello.
